Recent mapping from a national effort indicated that Russian forces had made gains into Pokrovsk and its environs, though a large portion was not fully held by either side. Moscow's Military Legal Adjustments

Defense force members will now have to protect fuel facilities against unmanned assaults after Vladimir Putin approved legislation on the start of the week extending their entanglement in the war effort. The Russian ruler also approved legislation allowing military conscription all year round whereas previously it was possible only during restricted intervals in autumn and spring. The Mediterranean country called in the Russian diplomat on the start of the week to challenge what it said were vulgar, troubling and unacceptable remarks by Moscow's foreign ministry spokeswoman who linked the deadly collapse of a tower in Rome to Italy's military support for Ukraine. The government representative stated that Italy will not alter its diplomatic approach or its values in answer to careless statements. The Russian embassy in Rome later expressed sympathy for the passing of a construction employee in the accident but used the chance to complain that the negative feedback to the statements was prejudiced toward the federation.
