King Wants the Duke to Forfeit Naval Title, Official Confirms
The Ministry of Defence is working to remove Andrew Mountbatten Windsor final honorary title in accordance with the wishes of King Charles, the defence secretary has declared.
The defense secretary stated King Charles had "indicated that's what he wishes".
Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his princely title on recently, retained his naval rank in the UK naval forces after giving up his remaining defense appointments in 2022.
"This is the correct course of action, the King has directed us to implement this measure and this is being handled presently," the official told a Sunday news program.
